EPBD / TM44 air conditioning inspections

Our engineers have significant experience of undertaking air conditioning inspections for both simple and complex systems, providing air conditioning certificates that comply with CIBSE TM44.

If your building has more than 12kW total cooling, it is now a legal requirement to have your air conditioning systems inspected once every 5 years for energy efficient operation. This is in accordance with the Energy Performance in Buildings Directive (EPBD).

This inspection is in addition to routine maintenance and F-Gas inspections and it is the person who controls the operation of the system who is responsible for complying with this legislation.

If you are unsure whether this applies to you, feel free to contact us for an informal discussion as we are only too happy to provide you with some guidance.

Having your air conditioning system inspected by an accredited Energy Assessor is intended to improve its operating efficiency and to reduce its energy consumption, operating costs and carbon emissions. The cost of the survey is usually recouped from the reduction in energy costs.

Energy inspections will highlight improvements to the operation of your existing systems or opportunities to replace older, less energy efficient or oversized systems.
